Singing Teaching for Children & Teens

Pop/Rock Contemporary `and Musical Theatre singing lessons
in Bath and the surrounding area for 9-18 year-olds

Unlocking your voice is a powerful thing to do when you’re working out who you are. Rachel’s teaching style is focussed on building confidence and resilience, empowering her students to be brave enough to try new things with their singing voices… which then encourages them to apply that confidence elsewhere in their lives.

Students will gain an understanding of the theory and terminology of singing, improving their technique to ensure healthy singing voices. They will develop their repertoire, learning a great variety of contemporary music and/or musical theatre… from Taylor Swift and Ella Fitzgerald, to Wicked and Les Miserables. And, hopefully, they will come away from lessons feeling capable, confident and secure in the knowledge that it is okay to get things wrong sometimes… because that is how we learn to get things right!

Students have the option to take Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals Grades and/or Trinity Singing Grades (Musical Theatre & Classical). These can help towards UCAS points in Grades 6-8. All assessments happen in Rachel’s own music room, filmed by Rachel and submitted via Trinity’s online portal. This is a fantastic way to capture students’ performances, without the pressure some grading assessments can bring. In four years of teaching these grades, Rachel’s students have a 100% pass rate at Merit and Distinction.

Rachel’s tuition can also help with GCSE, A Level and BTEC Music performances, Duke of Edinburgh Award Skills, songwriting, basic piano skills and music theory.
